A BRIEF HISTORY OF LAZY BEAR STUDIO

Browse My Work

Using wood found locally to create unique pieces isn’t what I expected to be putting so much energy into. I was born and raised in northern Arizona, driving on back roads with my family, camping, hunting and fishing. I have always been serious about making and working with my hands. Eventually I went to art school where I studied photography, ceramics, drawing, glass, welding, carpentry, printmaking, and primarily mold making and foundry work. I finished with a masters of fine arts in sculpture at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I returned to the west to immerse myself in local, readily available materials and have been able to combine my passion for making with the natural world I feel so familiar with.
